The Germain family have been winemaking for six generations. I first met Bernard and his son Phillipe one morning at The Nobody Inn. Bernard not speaking English and young Phillipe, trying, but not speaking much English either! However this didn't stop him talking incredibly enthusiastically and incomprehensively about his family's wines. However the wines spoke for themselves and we have kept in contact and bought his wines ever since. Phillipe's mastery of the English language didn't take long and his enthusiasm soon found it's way into the vineyard and cellars of the family Chateaux.
