Based in the heart of the Barossa Valley, Rolf and sister Christa are second generation wine-makers. A new winery was built in 1999 but the press from the old winery was retained and is key to Rolf's winemaking style and with three Parker 99 popints to his credit it seems to work. The Retro 55 range of wines are named after the date Rolf senior and his wife started the original winery in 1955 and the Retro bit refers to the return back to the most famous of Australian blends Shiraz/Cabernet.
